CFUW 2026 Home & Garden Tour - Experience the Wonder!

Join us on July 11, 2026, for the 3rd annual Perth and District CFUW Home & Garden Tour. This year’s tour includes eight whimsical gardens and four unique homes located in Perth and the surrounding area.

A Journey Through the Classics

More than just a self-guided tour of local homes and gardens, this year’s tour will provide an immersive experience aimed at guiding visitors on a journey that echoes some of the great literary classics, evoking feelings of wonder and innocence, and perhaps even resurrect memories of long-forgotten classic tales.

“How is it you can all talk so nicely?’ Alice said, hoping to get it into a better temper by a compliment. ‘I’ve been in many gardens before, but none of the flowers could talk.”“Put your hand down, and feel the ground,’ said the Tiger-lily. ‘Then you’ll know why.”“Alice did so. ‘It’s very hard,’ she said, ‘but I don’t see what that has to do with it.”“In most gardens,’ the Tiger-lily said, ‘they make the beds too soft—so that the flowers are always asleep.” ...Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

If you are looking for a day of fun, a bit of fantasy, and a chance to view spectacular homes and gardens, this tour will appeal to you. We even encourage coming as your favourite literary character!

Fundraising for the local community

Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Perth & District is part of a national, non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting education, empowering women and girls, and improving the quality of life in our community.

Proceeds from the Home & Garden Tour support our educational bursary program — since 1999, we have awarded more than $270,000 in bursaries to help 214 women pursue  post-secondary education. The money raised is also used to:

  • fund children’s summer reading programs at six local libraries,

  • contribute to enrichment programs at five Lanark County elementary schools and

  • assist local non-profit agencies.

Our fundraising efforts strengthen and benefit the entire community.

The 2025 Home & Garden Tour raised over $27,400.00, with all of the money raised spent directly in our local community. We hope with your generosity, through ticket sales and donations, to exceed that amount this year.

CFUW Perth and District would like to thank Platinum sponsor Carleton Place Nursery and Gold sponsors IronJack Tree Services and  RBC Investment Advisor Matthew Newby for their generous support.

Keep an eye on these blog posts. We will be updating plans and details of the tour as they become available.
